Uskomaton mahdollisuus

Kun korona lähti jylläämään maailmalla, en uskonut että mitään töitä olisi luvassa. Kuin ihmeen kaupalla sain huikean työtarjouksen; minusta tuli Oulun ensimmäinen Kaupunginosataiteilija Varjakkaan! Tämä oli ensimmäinen työpaikkani taiteen ja kulttuurin alalla, jonka jälkeen pyörä on lähtenyt pyörimään.
Olin haaveillut osallistavasta taidepolusta, joka kulkee metsässä. Kaupunginosataiteilijana ideoin ja toteutin unelmani; Warjakan Taidepolun. Sain innostaa ihmisiä lähtemään luontoon kokeilemaan taiteen eri lajeja. Syvennyin itsekin luonto- ja ympäristötaiteeseen, tarkoituksena tehdä taidetta luonnosta löytyvistä materiaaleista (jokamiehenoikeuden huomioiden). Toteutin kolme Taidepolkua Varjakkaan. Kun muutin pois Oulusta, Taidepolun vastuun otti TaikaBox ry ja Warjakkalaiset kyläyhdistys.

Amazing opportunity

When corona virus started I thought there wouldnt´t be any jobs for me. Surprisingly I got an amazing job offer and for a summer I was working as an Neighborhood artist in Varjakka, Oulu. This was the very first job I had on art and culture area.
For a few years I dreamt about an art path where people can take part to create art. From this dream I created Warjakka Art Path as an neighborhood artist to Varjakka forest. Purpose of the Art Path is to encourage people to try different art forms outdoors, in the middle of the nature.
I started to explore nature art and its possibilities. It is a perfect form of art as it doesn´t need any bought materials (there is no waste created and no money needed) and it can be enjoyed only for a moment.
This was first of three Warjakka Art Paths I created. When I moved out of Varjakka TaikaBox ry and Warjakkalaiset kyläyhdistys took the responsibility. Art Path can still be visited in Oulu as a year-round experience!
